Jamie Schenk DeWitt, MA, LMFT #90492 is a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice.  Based in Los Angeles, California, Jamie's clinical training enables her to provide therapy to clients dealing with issues such as relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, parenting, sex and sexuality, productivity issues at work or school, and life transitions.  She works from an integrative perspective, incorporating psychodynamic psychotherapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. 

Jamie graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA and then received her MA, MFT from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  She completed three years of clinical training at the highly regarded Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, California and at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's TEEN LINE, a teen-to-teen organization providing crisis prevention, education and support to teens around the country.  Jamie also trained under the guidance of Esther Perel, MA, LMFT.  Esther is recognized as an international authority on couples therapy, cross-cultural relations, culture, sex and sexuality.  She is also the author of Mating in Captivity and The State of Affairs: Rethinking Infidelity. 

Jamie is also a trained EFT Couples Therapist.  EFT is a highly effective treatment approach that explores each partner's unique fears, desires and unmet needs, which results in more effective communication and increased feelings of safety, security and satisfaction in the relationship.
